Test 1 (7.1)
iOS with VoiceOver
- Activate the screen reader.
- Use the rotor and select "Headings".
- Browse through the headings by sliding your finger up or down.
- Check that
- each text structure on the screen can be reached;
- each heading reached is relevant, i.e.
- the heading is useful for structuring the screen;
- the text contained in the heading makes it possible to understand the content of the section thus titled.
- If this is the case, the criterion is validated.
iOS with Accessibility Inspector
- Connect the iOS mobile device to the computer using macOS.
- Activate the Accessibility Inspector software.
- Choose the mobile device as the source and stay on the "Inspection" tab (buttons at top right).
- Use the arrows in Accessibility Inspector to access each element of the interface.
- Check that
- for each text that structures the screen, the "Traits" parameter contains the value "Headings";
- that each text whose "Traits" parameter contains the value "Headings" is relevant, i.e.
- the heading thus declared is useful for structuring the screen;
- the text contained in the heading makes it possible to understand the content of the section thus titled.
- If this is the case, the criterion is validated.
Android
- Activate the screen reader.
- Use the playback controls menu and select "Headings".
- Browse through the headings by sliding your finger up or down.
- Check that
- each text structure on the screen is reached in this way and is rendered as a heading;
- that each heading is relevant, i.e.
- the heading is useful for structuring the screen;
- that the text contained in the heading makes it possible to understand the content of the section thus titled.
- If this is the case, the criterion is validated.
