External services CheckFox integrates with.
Browserless (scanner add-on)
Powers automated axe-core scanning of samples. The scanner runs the page in a headless browser, runs axe-core, maps violations to the audit's referential criteria, and proposes findings for auditor review.
- Activated as the Scanner add-on.
- Workspaces may use CheckFox's hosted Browserless or provide their own API key (BYOK).
- Output is always reviewed by the auditor before being persisted as findings.
See procedures / use the scanner and /docs/future-browserless-replacement.md for the planned in-house replacement.
Jira
Push findings to a Jira project as issues. Useful when remediation is tracked by a development team in their existing tooling.
- Workspace-level Jira connection.
- Per-audit field mapping.
- Optional Jira workspace assignment per CheckFox workspace. See
/docs/multi-jira-workspace.md.
Linear
Push findings to a Linear team. Same purpose as Jira, different destination.
<!-- needs review: confirm Linear capability and current state -->Browser extension (planned)
A Chrome and Firefox extension that runs scans in the auditor's own browser (no headless infrastructure) and pushes pre-filled findings into the matching audit. See /docs/checkfox-browser-extension.md.
API keys
Workspaces can issue API keys for programmatic access. Used by integrations and the (planned) browser extension.
