Contrast (text size)

The standard distinguishes between several sizes of text to be evaluated, each size having a contrast threshold. These sizes are evaluated in pixels or points. The larger the text (greater than 18.5px bold or 24px normal weight), the lower the required ratio (3:1).

In the framework:

• a normal text size is a text with a calculated size of less than 24px normal weight or less than 18.5px bold;
• a large text is a text with a calculated size of 24px or more normal weight or less than 18.5px or more bold.
