What a sample is and how samples are managed within an audit.
Cette documentation est disponible en anglais uniquement.
What a sample is
A sample is one page or screen included in an audit. It typically corresponds to a URL. Each sample is evaluated against the audit's chosen criteria.
Sample fields
- URL (required)
- Page name or label
- Page type (homepage, listing, form, content page, etc.)
- Notes
- Authentication state (e.g., "logged in as auditor account")
Adding samples
- Manually, one URL at a time.
- In bulk, by pasting a list of URLs.
- Via the browser extension (planned). See
/docs/checkfox-browser-extension.md.
Sample types
CheckFox treats all samples uniformly internally. The "type" field is metadata for the auditor's reference and for reporting.
Limits
Each plan limits the number of samples per audit. See plans and roles.
What you do with a sample
- Evaluate criteria on it (record findings).
- Add it to a journey.
- Run the scanner on it (if scanner add-on is active). See integrations.
Removing samples
Removing a sample removes its findings. Confirmation is required.
