Write a multi-year accessibility plan and fill its annual action plan from your audits.
Goal
Produce the multi-year plan and the current year's action plan that a public body is required to publish.
Preconditions
- The workspace is on Pro or Enterprise. Other plans can read but not create.
- For filling the annual plan: at least one audit with evaluated criteria.
Steps
- Go to Operations > Accessibility plans and click New multi-year plan.
- Set the period. It defaults to three years from today, which is the legal maximum; a longer one is refused.
- Choose the document language. This is the language the plan is written in, not the language of your interface. More can be added later.
- Write the fourteen sections. Each shows the text of the arrêté that requires it. Use Suggest content on any section to start from a structure instead of a blank field, then replace the
[à compléter]blanks with your own answers. - Under Annual action plans, click Add a year. The dates are proposed for you and tile the multi-year plan without overlapping.
- Open the year, click Choose audits, and pick the audits it should draw on.
- Click Fill from my audits. Failing criteria become actions, worst impact first. Assign owners and due dates.
- Publish the multi-year plan, then the year. Copy the public address, or download the file to host on your own site.
Verify success
- The section counter reads "14 of 14 sections written". A section still holding a blank does not count.
- Each year's period sits inside the multi-year plan's period.
- The published address opens and renders the document.
Common pitfalls
- Publishing with blanks left. Refused by design, and the message names which sections. That is the guard working, not an error.
- Expecting the download to be the same as the public link. The downloaded file is what discharges the legal obligation, because publication must happen on your own domain. The CheckFox address is a convenience and a canonical source.
- Forgetting the statement link. The accessibility statement must point at these documents. See procedures / create a statement.
- Removing a language. It stops being published but your text is kept and returns if you add it back.
