Change your card, download invoices, fix a failed payment, and lower your bill with coupons, Fox Coins and referrals.
Goal
Keep a workspace's payment details up to date, get invoices, and pay less where you can.
Open the billing portal
- Open Management > Billing & Plan.
- Click Manage invoices & payment method.
The secure Stripe billing portal opens. From there you can:
- add or replace the payment method;
- download past invoices;
- update billing details: name, email, address and VAT number. Changes apply to future invoices.
The portal only exists once the workspace has paid for something. A Free workspace that never subscribed has no billing account yet.
Plan changes and cancellation are not done in the portal. They are done on Billing & Plan (procedures / upgrade your plan, procedures / downgrade or cancel).
When a payment fails
- The workspace status changes to Payment overdue, and the billing owner receives an email with a link to update the card.
- Stripe tries the payment again over the following days. The workspace keeps its plan during that time.
- Update the payment method in the billing portal. The next attempt uses it.
If every attempt fails, the subscription is cancelled and the workspace moves to Free. Nothing is deleted: subscribing again restores the higher limits.
Who receives billing emails
The workspace's billing owner receives payment emails. That is the person who first subscribed.
When the billing owner deletes their account, they hand billing to another Owner or Moderator of the workspace, and the subscription keeps running. The new billing owner receives an email asking them to replace the payment method, because the card on file still belongs to the previous owner.
Pay less
Annual billing
Annual billing costs the same as 10 months. Choose Annual with the toggle when you subscribe or upgrade.
Promo codes and coupons
- Check a code in the Promo Code box on Billing & Plan.
- Before you are sent to the Stripe payment page, a dialog lists the coupons you can use. Copy one and paste it in the promo code field on the Stripe page.
Fox Coins
Open Management > Rewards.
- You earn 1 Fox Coin per euro paid, plus a bonus for long-time members. Coins do not expire while you stay subscribed.
- Redeem coins for credit on your next invoice. You receive a code to use at your next payment. Rewards marked Coming soon cannot be redeemed yet.
Refer a friend
On Management > Rewards, copy your referral link and share it. When someone subscribes through it, you earn Fox Coins. They are credited 14 days after that person's first payment.
