Documentation
This term is defined by more than one standard, and the wording differs. Each definition below is the one that applies to that standard’s criteria.
Definition in RAWeb 1.1
The documentation for a website or support service can be
- a help page;
- an accessibility statement;
- any other content that serves as documentation (PDF document, external HTML page readable in a web browser).
Criteria in RAWeb 1.1
- 14.1 — Does the website's documentation describe the accessibility features available and information relating to compatibility with accessibility?
- 14.2 — For each accessibility feature described in the documentation, the mechanism for enabling an accessibility feature meets the accessibility needs of the users concerned. Is this rule respected (excluding special cases)?
- 14.3 — Does the website documentation comply with the digital accessibility rules?
- 16.1 — Does each support service provide information about the accessibility features and accessibility compatibility described in the documentation of the website?
- 16.3 — Does the documentation provided by the support service comply with the digital accessibility rules?
Definition in RAAM 1.1
The documentation of an application or support service can be:
- a help screen;
- an accessibility statement;
- any other content that serves as documentation (PDF document, external HTML page readable in a web browser).
Criteria in RAAM 1.1
- 12.1 — Does the application documentation describe the accessibility features available and information on accessibility compatibility?
- 12.2 — For each accessibility feature described in the documentation, the mechanism used to activate it meets the accessibility needs of the users concerned. Is this rule respected (excluding special cases)?
- 12.3 — The application does not interfere with the accessibility features of the platform. Is this rule respected?
- 14.1 — Does each support service provide information relating to accessibility features and accessibility compatibility, described in the documentation?
- 14.2 — The support service meets the communication needs of people with disabilities directly or through a relay service. Is this rule respected?
- 14.3 — Does the documentation provided by the support service comply with the digital accessibility rules?
